Going to related record externally

I have a PO form in PO d/b with a portal window that has several details per PO, that is stored individually in PODetails d/b.

All I want to do is have a button that jumps to that other file with the related record based on the contents in the portal row.

I have an external script in the PODetails d/b that does: Enter browse mode[]

Go to Layout [Layout 1]

Go to Related Record [Relation1]

where Relation1 is relationship based on PO ID (from PO) and PO ID (from PODetails) which is wrong since I only want to see the exact detail in the portal row, not all details regarding that PO id.

What should my relationship be? and what is wrong with my script?

Put a button right in the portal. Then format it to "go to related record." Then, a copy of that button will appear in each portal row for which there is a related record. when you click it, it will bring up the other file with that record.
