We have a FM file that we share to other countries where they log in and update the file. This file is sitting in our server using FM server 8.

This file has been access by other users last week but for no other reason it suddenly close for sharing.

If im in the FM Server Admin and check the Status of the file under the Databases it is CLOSED. No one change this from Status Normal. I tried to changed it to Normal (Open) but it does not changed. Is there any other way to make this work?

Sounds as if the file is damaged.

Close it. stop the FileMaker Server daemon. Open the file in FIleMaker Pro and save a copy as compacted or compressed. Try using that copy.

What else is happening on this server that could be causing issues?
