In my application, there are two fields that can (and occasionally do) run longer than the column width on my report layout.

Is there a way to have the row-height in the "body" section expand to accommodate a second line when necessary?

No.

The way to do it in FMP is to make the field large enough to accommodate the maximum amount of text, the use the Sliding/Printing feature to shrink-fit it back when it is previewed or printed.
