Peter Lars Jensen Posted November 23, 2001 Posted November 23, 2001 Hi, Could anyone point me into a direction on the following matter: I have a customer database with a record per company. On each of these records I have a portal with a list of attention names for each company. The portal is pointing to a second database with a record per attention name. My question is: I want to make a letter so some of these companies and only some of the attention names are getting it. E.g. on one record, one company, but only two out of five attention names. How do I make a mail merge of selected data from my company db and my attention db. Do I need a third db for the mail/letter and how do I perform the actual merge, or...? I guess this is a normal and daily thing you want to do :-) [ November 23, 2001: Message edited by: PLJ ]
Steven H. Blackwell Posted November 24, 2001 Posted November 24, 2001 Do a find in the database with the individual contacts for the comapnies that you want to mail. Then run the mail merge routine from the related contacts file, not from the company file. Make sense? HTH Old Advance Man
