August 28, 200817 yr Newbies Just upgraded a server (G5, 4G Ram) to Leopard. Was running FM Server 7.0 in OSX 10.4 just fine (only about 10 files). After installing Leopard and when trying to open FM server to administer the files, got the message "Connection Failure" - Could not connect to FileMaker Server (localhost)" (127.0.0.1). Only option is "OK" and then it closes FM Server. Upgraded FM Server to 8.0.2 and got the same error. Still can't host the files in FM Server as a result. Is Leopard incompatible with versions prior to Server 9, or is there some network setting that may have been reset during Leopard install? Help, please!
August 29, 200817 yr If running Leopard you must use FileMaker Server 9.0v3, IIRC. And it must be installed from the 9.0v3 disk image, not the 9.0v1. Steven
August 30, 200817 yr Author Newbies Thank you, Steven. Is that what causes the 'Connection Failure' issue, or could it be in addition to Leopard incompatibility. Peter
August 30, 200817 yr Hard to say without first hand on-site knowledge of the total configuration. Steven
