Hi there,

This question may seem rudamentary, but how do I create a new record from within the portal?

The portal is in File1, and shows records from File2. Obviously, the record doesn't exist in File2 if I want to create it. I have a script in File1 that calls "Create New Record" external script in file2. But I don't wanna go to File2. I want to be able to create record in File1 right in the portal. Is it possible?

Be sure the relationship allow creation of new records from the aprent file.

Go to the last row of the portal. It will be blank. Put something in one of the fields--->new record is created automatically.
