Bryan VonDeylen Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Had my XServe crash (running FileMaker Pro Advanced Server 9v2). When I brought it back up, web publishing will no longer start. I tried updating to FPAS 9v3, but web publishing still won't start. The message on the FileMaker Server Overview in console is "An error was encountered communicating with the server". I do not have services split. All on 1 XServe. The PHP part is still working correctly, but I have a lot of XML/XSLT databases designed before PHP came to FileMaker, so I need to get these databases up and running. Any ideas?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Is Apache running? From the Terminal: sudo apachectl start use of sudo requires authentication. Steven
rshacklett Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I have an odd one -- Running FM Server Advanced 9.0.3.326. My Web Publishing Engine won't start -- yet it IS running. I see it in the processes "FM Web Publishin". And its working -- my sites using XML pulls are functioning... Apache 2.2 is running. I just keep getting emails from FM Server saying: Some problems were detected in the WPE COMPONENT: COMPONENT IS NOT RESPONDING. I've rebooted the server a couple of times and keep getting this. This happened after I had a hard crash on my server (100% processor load for 1/2 hr), and had to due a hard reset. ...any ideas?? Thanks!
