September 25, 200817 yr Hi all, We're trying to open up the admin console in FMS9, newly installed on a new G5 tower. OSX, 10.5.5 2x3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 4GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM Each time we get a error message, with a cryptic message: Error: Unexpected exception: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException And that's it. Nothing else to help us along. Any ideas?
September 26, 200817 yr Author It's FMS 9.0v3 I will go look for patches, and apply accordingly. Hopefully that's it.
September 26, 200817 yr Author OK -- got a step further. Now it says: The Database Server is not available. to edit server deployment, please start the database servers first. (CANCEL) (RESTART) And... since I can't seem to get into the console, not sure how to 'start the database servers first'? -- Tried RESTART. Nothing satisfactory down that path either. More error messages.
September 26, 200817 yr Start the FMS daemon wrapper from the Terminal. sudo launchctl start com.filemaker.fms use of sudo requires authentication. HTH Steven
