Console Error - new FMS9 install

Featured Replies

Hi all,

We're trying to open up the admin console in FMS9, newly installed on a new G5 tower.

OSX, 10.5.5

2x3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon

4GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM

Each time we get a error message, with a cryptic message:

Error: Unexpected exception: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

And that's it. Nothing else to help us along.

Any ideas?

What version FMS 9? Does it have the Leopard patch?

It's FMS 9.0v3

I will go look for patches, and apply accordingly. Hopefully that's it.

OK -- got a step further.

Now it says:

The Database Server is not available. to edit server deployment, please start the database servers first.

(CANCEL) (RESTART)

And... since I can't seem to get into the console, not sure how to 'start the database servers first'?

-- Tried RESTART. Nothing satisfactory down that path either. More error messages.

Start the FMS daemon wrapper from the Terminal.

sudo launchctl start com.filemaker.fms

use of sudo requires authentication.

HTH
