My head is mush... I'm out of time and running on no sleep to speak of the last 2 days

What I need to do is an import creating new records (50-100 at a time) of those not already in the database.

Delema is I have several unique and non empty fields in the main database and the imports only have data in 1 field to start with which throws out all the new imports as "skipped with errors".

I end up with only the old matching records left - if any - in the new found set... no new records.

After import the records are run through a script to update and fill in all the blanks...
