Hi there!

I've been trying to get this thing to work all day but had no luck, so I'm trying my luck on the forum now...

I have a database running on FMS9 on my iMac desktop. When I try accessing it from said desktop through Open Remote from either FMP8.5 or FMP9 advanced, it works fine.

However, when I try accessing it from another iMac with FMP8.5 on the same network, it shows the server but not the database.

I've been reading many of the posts online, have checked the Filemaker.com knowledge base and have tried the following:

- modifying my firewall settings so port 5003 is accessible

- changing the Sharing settings

- checking my FMS9 settings

- installing the upgrade pertaining to the known server.pem issue (since I wasn't exactly sure when I had installed the software).

It's probably something simple and straightforward but I don't see it any more... So: HELP! [slightly panicking] I have foreign visitors coming in on Monday to see a demo of a database and I need it to work.

Problem solved :-) I forgot about the Mac OS built-in firewall...
