Spontaneous OS X 10.5 client logout, schema work on server db

Featured Replies

First off, there are several things wrong in terms of best practice, and I'm aware of them, but it's the database owner's decision. So that said, I'm trying to find out if the issue is not necessarily related to the violation of best practices, and if so, any possible remedy.

Client: OS X, 10.5 (latest). FileMaker Developer 7.0v3. (v. 7 is not supported by FMI, and even when it was, v. 7 was not supported under 10.5).

Server: OS X, OS X 10.4.11 (non server). FMS 7.0v4.

I found that when opening a database on the server from my client, and making schema or accounts changes (with no one doing anything on the database) (I realize that many would recommend a copy of FileMaker Developer be installed on the server.), that sometimes I'm spontaneously logged out of OS X on my (client) computer. I've not experienced this when working on databases locally. Anyone experienced this?
