I am a beginner with Filemaker

In reading the forum, there are answers that have attachments. When I save/open the attachments filemaker comes up and I see the sample, but when I try to dig deeper to see what is being done I get this error

This action cannot be performed because this file is not modifiable.

How can I change the file so that I can look at the button setup or field controls that were defined in the samples.

Thanks in advance for all help.

I just found my answer. If I do a save as on the file to another filename, I then can see the 'good' stuff.
