shut down asks for password

Featured Replies

Sorry if this is not the most appropriate topic area for this question, but my solution keeps asking for my username and password upon closing, and I do not have any scripts assigned for shutdown under the options. Any ideas on what could cause this? If I type in my username and password, it does shut down, but this extra step is annoying and perplexing.

Thanks ahead for responses.

Have you created a custom menu ?

Yes I have. I'm intrigued. How does the custom menu cause this to happen?

Go to see which script ( or even a single step ) is attached ( to override ) to the menu command: Close

I apologize that I don't understand what you mean.

Tools >> Custom Menus >> Manage Custom Menus... >> Double click on your custom menu >> select "File" >> Push the Edit button >> Click on "Close"

... and see what there is in the bottom-right side.

BTW: what is the title of the window that asks for enter your pwd ?

I tried adding the close command to my menus. It made no difference that I could tell.

You haven't to add a Close command, you just have one.

Can you post your file or a cloned one ?
