mdecheser Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Hello everyone. My organization is looking at Nagios as a system monitoring tool. Upon first glance, the tool looks very nice and comprehensive for our needs. I noted that it is even able to monitor specific services/processes on monitored servers. One thing I did not immediately find was its ability to monitor FM9SA. Does anyone know if it is possible, and if so have you succeeded in setting it up yourself? If so, I may follow up with a question or two . TIA.
Newbies Chris Moyer Posted February 17, 2009 Newbies Posted February 17, 2009 I played around with nagios a bit a couple of years ago. Had to cook up a plugin to talk to FileMaker server, but it worked well. The server had to be re-formatted, but I think I could re-create the plugin without too much trouble. I had it so it could list open files, the number of open files, and some other things. For example, if a file was supposed to be closed (i.e. for maintenance or revision) but was open, it could notify you.
