[FMSA9] How to restart fmscwpe.exe via command line

Featured Replies

Hello all,

is there any way to restart only fmscwpe.exe process via command line? The latest FMS version (9) runs only one service which drive all processes so if I restart the service itself I restart both database server and publishing engine but I need to restart only the latter.

Any idea?

Thank you in advance(d).

If you deploy the WPE component on a different box, I believe it will split the service.

What does it means 'different box'?

I deploied the entire server on a single machine.

It means on a second machine.. As far as i know (and I haven't fully read the documentation on this because I haven't had the need to... sooo I could be wrong) this is the only way to get the services to split. You might also be able to set up a virtual machine on the main machine and deploy the WPE component to that, but it sort of add's an extra layer of OS for requests to travel through.
