FMS9 Deployment Assistant "hangs" on Admin Console Start Page

Recently, my installation of FMS9 Advanced on my Windows XP Intel Core2 Duo Processor T5200 with Java Run-time Environment version 1.6.0_11 wouldn't allow me to manage FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced database uploads. I removed FMS9 Advanced. I downloaded the most recent FMS9 Advanced from the FileMaker Developer website. I installed it. It never got past the Deployment Assistant, which hangs at "http://localhost:16000/?page=splash" showing the Admin Console Start Page.

Question: Anyone know of a reason I should not be attempting to run FMS9 Advanced on the aforementioned environment?

You're going to have to roll back your Java I think. The x.11 rev has been reported to be causing trouble. You may need to go to the Java site and see if you can get an earlier version.

I rolled back to JRE 1.6.0_5 and the FMS9A Deployment Assistant now works like a hose.
