Newbie question here. Can I put a button in Filemaker Pro 5 that links to an external website? The only mention in help I could find didn't seem to do it. Thanks for any suggestions.

1. Write a one-line script with the OPEN URL comand (it's listed under 'Miscellaneous' in Script Definition.

For example: Open URL ("http://www.fmforums.com")

2. Define a button in layout mode by clicking on the define button icon. Alternatively you can right-click on any field and select 'specify button'.

3. Either way, you get the 'Specify Button' dialog. Click 'Perform Script', then in the options, specify the script name you defined above in step 1.

Et voila.
