Does anyone know how to create a script to export the records only on page 1 in preview mode...I am trying to do a table of content for my records. many thanks.

Welcome to FMforums. Not a very warm welcome I suppose, no answers to your 1st post. It is because no one really understands what you're asking.

There is Browse mode, with records you can export. There is Preview mode, with pages you can print (or save to PDF). These are two different modes, used in different operations. Yes, the records in Browse mode are also used in Preview mode. But once in Preview mode they become objects on pages to print; you cannot "export" them as such.

I am sure there is a way to produce a "table of contents." In fact, there are many ways. One would have to know what you're trying to do exactly, what output you want, and what you expect to see.

If you know how many records display in preview mode, you could try creating a script that marks the first x number of records, does a find on those, then export them... Im not sure if there is a way to dynamically determine how many records are in preview mode so this may be your only option.
