Change highlighted fields to a new TO

It would be so much simpler if we could highlight a group of fields and change the TO rather than change them one at a time.

I run in to this need often when creating new layouts or duplicating a layout and changing the related TO. I don't know why we don't have that option? What would be the Cons to this?
