DrS Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 We have recently moved from FM5.5 to FM9 on many of the PCs in our school but there are still many PCs and many databases which have not been update/converted. As a result we are having to maintain FM5.5 databases on PCs which have both FM9 and FM5.5 installed. There are no problems except that... In FM5.5, every time we create a new layout we get "Filemaker Pro.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." A new blank layout is the only one which works. Thanks.
Colin Keefe Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 When this happens, there should be a Details button in the dialog. Click it and report here what app is listed in the details, as well as everything else in the dialog. A screenshot of the dialog is probably easiest.
