Can't type into fields

I have several fields in my database that I can't type into. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum.

It sounds like you have turned off access in browse mode. Go to Layout, right click the field(s) and click on 'Field Control' and then 'behavior' and make sure you have the 'Browse' box checked.

If it's in the portal check your relationship TO you may not have turned on "Allow creation of records."
