I have a self-join relationship which sorts alphabetically by last name the people that belong to the same sub group. I need a calc field that numbers the people based on their sorted position in the subgroup. Albritton = 1 Baines = 2 /.../ Thompson = 38 Williams = 39 I'd love to accomplish this numbering without a script. Any suggestions?
