stephenrappaport Posted August 15, 2001 Posted August 15, 2001 My database has become corrupted. When I try to open it, I get a message: The access privileges are corrupted or possibly tampered with ... Does anyone know how to unlock the database? I've tried Recovery (no luck). Thanks for your time and thoughts.
zincb Posted August 15, 2001 Posted August 15, 2001 I believe you have to send it to Filemaker and they will unlock it for you. They require will ask for several proofs and your firstborn to ensure you aren't trying to hack into someone else's intellectual property. Here is a mouthful of a link (note that part of it doesn't fit on the line & will have to be appended). It says that you will have to contact Filemaker: http://tidb.filemaker.com/ti/FMPro?-db=ti.fp5&-lay=list&-sortfield=relevancecalc&-sortorder=descend&select=FileMaker&article=Password%20Problem&-token.0=FileMakerPassword&-find=&-f ormat=detail.html&-recid=38476
stephenrappaport Posted August 16, 2001 Author Posted August 16, 2001 Thanks very much for the link. I'll first see if I can restore a backup from my hosting company's tapes. If not, I'll contact Filemaker and furnish the vital records information on my first born.
