I'm new at this web hosting thing. A couple of quick questions. What is the best solution for hosting web pages from FMP. What should you use as the back end (ie FMP server etc.) and how should you go about writing the rest of the HTML stuff if you want to have active searching and addition to your database (much like this message board). I would like the interface to be as close as possible to my FMP one that I have designed using lots of scripts etc.

Any suggestions?

Since you want to run scripts you will have to do custom html. Claris Home Page 3.0 has a FileMaker connection assistant that will create some basic CDML pages that access the FileMaker database. You will need to customize it from there to get it to run the scripts and look the way you want.

As far as a back end, you can have server as the back end but it is not required.
