I am running FM Server 5 on a mac 266 G3 with an Iomega 2 gig disk system for backup.

I have FM scheduled to back up at the end of each day, however several times during the day the Iomega system seems to start up slowing the server down. It is not backing up when this happens - any suggestions :

If you are running MacOS 9, is Sherlock trying to index the Iomega disk? In the recent applications folder in the apple manu) look for the application called "Find by Content Indexing".

I'm not quite sure how to turn the indexing off. You might try running Sherlock and loking in the Preferences for something.
