I have tried to open files on our FileMaker 5 Server machine using the remote Server Administration tool. I can use the tool to close files, but when I try to open them, I receive an error saying "error occurred, unable to open file".

I can go to the server and open the files directly. Any ideas why it won't let me open them remotely?

I have same problem. Anyone have a solution?

Where on the hard disk are the files physically located?

I had filemaker installed on a different partition than where the databases were. I moved them to the same and it fixed the problem. I am not psyched about it but oh well ...it works.
