I am returning to FM 5.5 and Server use after an absence. Could someone refresh my memory.

Can we load our stations with 5.5 first, then configure the server and machine next week? Or do we need the server up and running first? We have existing 4.1 databases on our network drive that we currently access by pc hosting (nightmare).

Just need some advice.

I would update your databases to FM 5.5 now. It is easy and will need to be done before you put them on your server. Often organizations run for years without FM Server, so updating your systems to the latest version is normal.
