I'm sorry but searching these forums is frustrating because it is difficult to find what you want (at least to me).

I made a simple database to record surgeries with standard name, date, procedure, etc. fields at work in FM8.5. My computer is pretty slow so I decided to bring it home and work on my MacPro. The problem is that is won't open saying "The account and password you entered cannot be used to access this file. Please try again." But it should be because I just made the database today and I can't even get the guest account to work. Is this a PC to Mac issue, or should I try to remove everything but the guest account?

Try using Admin as the Account name and a blank password. That is the default for a new file.

I did try that and combinations of "Admin" "admin" with blank passwords. I'm at work now so I am going to try to eliminate accounts and make the guest have all privileges and see if that works.
