Hello all,

i am using filemaker pro 9 connected with a sql database, which works really fine after i have read through this forum. Thanks for that. Now i ran into following problem: After i have created the shadow tables in filemaker all fields are marked as "value necessary" (if I have translated it correctly from the German version) leading to a painful data entering situation as I have to fill all fields before I can edit the next set of data. I have tried to change this option in the FM database, but, of course it gets changed again after connecting to the sql database. Is there a solution (except assigning a default value) to avoid that all sql fields require a value in the FM database?
