I'm new to this (not even sure if I'm posting in the right forum!), and I have a question about container fields. I'd like my container fields to store only a reference to a file (mostly .pdf archived documents). I can get this to happen, but then when I share the database (right now just using FileMaker; will update to Server soon!), users in an opposite-platform environment cannot open the file. All the .pdf files are stored in a networked location that all computers are able to access.

I know that the problem is that the file path is different on Windows and Mac. But what is the script or calculation or whatever that allows me to fix the problem? (I see that 360Works has a "super container" thing to download, but I'd rather not spend money!)
