Robert Roll Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Deploying SC on a Mac takes advantage of the Corimage capability of the Mac OS to render thumbnails of uploaded files. But what if you use Windows as your fileserver? Can you set up a Mac to run the SC Java Servlet and configure SC to store the uploaded files to a separate windows server on the local network?
Smef Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Yes, that will work fine. You can configure this through the web.xml file in your SuperContainer installation directory, or through the stand-alone deployment's configuration menu. I believe that you will need to mount the drive as a network drive on your machine for SuperContainer to be able to access it.
