Here's the situation, need some ideas.

Server: FileMaker Server 10 - Hosting Service

Clients: FileMaker 9 Advanced, FileMaker 10 Advanced

CPU: Windows XP SP3, Mac OSX 10.4

On Windows: FMP 9 - connects fine

On Mac OSX: FMP 10 - connects fine

but if I flip it...

On Windows: FMP 10 - connects fine

On Mac OSX: FMP 9 - 'File cannot be opened. Either host is unavailable...yada yada, or the file is unavailable'

Any ideas why the Mac would connect fine using 10 and not 9?

Check ports on Macintosh workstation. Also be sure you have the 9.0v3x326 patch installed on your Macintosh FMP 9 workstations.
