E-Mail (Send Mail) Not Working

We've had this problem in the past, but can't recall how to fix it:

ISSUE: Computer had it's user profile deleted (so a new one could be made). Now user cannot send email (as part of a send mail script). The script runs perfectly, but Outlook 2007 does not open up a new mail window and nothing is sent off.

In the past I think we used fixmapi.exe to resolve this problem, but now that doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas?

If anyone is looking for a resolution to a similar issue, we ended up just doing a reimage (clean install of operating system and programs) for this to work. Nothing else worked (fixmapi, reinstall of filemaker, internet explorer settings, etc.).
