For release: Immediate

Los Angeles, CA – September 11, 2001 – FileMaker/SQL Integration Class Sells Out in Toronto, Future Dates Noted

ClickWare’s SQL Plug-In course, being held in partnership with CoreSolutions of Canada, has sold out their Toronto offering. The class, which teaches developers and end-users how to successfully integrate FileMaker with SQL databases is extrememly popular and also sold out in Orlando, Florida after the DevCon.

Future dates for the class are listed below. Early registration is highly recommended to ensure seats are available:

November 15 & 16 – Los Angeles, California

December 6 & 7 – Scottsdale, Arizona

January 17 & 18 – San Diego, California

To register, please visit www.clickware.com or call 805-499-5677. A waiting list has been started for the Toronto class. Email [email protected] if you would like to be added.

These high end training sessions focus on using ODBC/JDBC functionality to integrate FileMaker and SQL databases. An important topic of the class will be advanced SQL training and integration with FileMaker Pro. Attendees will receive a free, 5 user license for Professional Database Management’s SQL Plug-In as a bonus for attending the class (a $350 value). Interested parties should visit www.clickware.com/sqltraining.htm for details on the course content.

The class has just been updated with the release of FMP 5.5 to compare and contrast the new functionality in 5.5 and to show the additional benefits of utilizing the SQL Plug-In for both Mac and Windows users. FileMaker users can overcome some of the limitations of 5.5 by effectively using the technology of the SQL Plug-In, which is fully explained at the class.

“There is no one better in the FileMaker community than ClickWare, Inc. who understands both FileMaker and SQL technology”, according to Jan Aleman, developer of the SQL Plug-In. “We think that Bob Cusick (owner of ClickWare, Inc.) is a leader in this technology area. When he came to visit with us the first time in Amsterdam, we realized that there was a great deal of synergy between us. Over time, we have provided several training ventures together and enjoy an excellent partnership. IT managers who need a solution that includes both FileMaker and SQL require two things: ClickWare, Inc. and our Plug-In! So this was a natural alliance.”

For FileMaker users who waited to sign up for future classes, the good news is that additional future dates have been added. For those wishing to travel to the sunny west coast during the upcoming winter months, ClickWare, Inc. is offering a variety of beautiful “snow bird” venues to escape cold winter months and enjoy the sunshine in Arizona and California. Plan now to attend a winter class, register early, and save $400 on the registration fee.
