kjanisse Posted August 9, 2001 Posted August 9, 2001 Hi everyone, I am having a problem with my solution that I can't figure out. I have a relational database with 10 files. It runs on a dedicated computer in a libarary in Kiosk mode. The actual databases are hosted on another machine using FM Server. The kiosk opens the files via TCP/IP. I have a button in one of the layouts that quits the application (so that you can close the system when in Kiosk mode). The problem is that when I run the system in Kiosk mode, if I press the button to quit the application, I get a Type 3 error. I then have to restart the machine because it locks up the serial number. If I run the database in "normal" mode using the master password, I can use the button without any trouble. It seems to only occur in Kiosk mode. I am a Mac technician so I did all of the obvious tests with extensions etc. I was using OS 9.1, but downgraded to 8.6 to see if it was the OS, but it is not. I am using FileMaker 5.0v3 and Developer 5.0. Has anyone ever run into this? Thanks
