pspafford Posted September 24, 2001 Posted September 24, 2001 Can run-time solutions import and export? If they can, I may be able to get my boss to pay for a copy of Developer. That'd sure be swell.
BruceJ Posted September 28, 2001 Posted September 28, 2001 Man sometimes this board is really dead, especially when you really want an answer to your question! To answer your question - Yes, you can import and export just liek in the regular version provided that the one who designed the datbase give you privaleges to do this. If you are developing the databse yourself, no problem. Just set a password with permission to do this just like in the regualr version. The only drawback to the developer run-time solutions is that they cannot be MultiUser and aren't networked, but you probably knew that.
Jodin Posted October 9, 2001 Posted October 9, 2001 Sure they can be multiuser! You just can't share them without opening them in FM Client. But you can make the files multi-user and then bind them. Upon opening the solution in FM Client they can be shared just like un-bound files. That way FM Inc still gets their revenue (from the client software) and you can still strip out the backend of the files.
