FMSA 8 on OS X Tiger 10.4.11 Connectivity Issues

Greetings all,

I suddenly am having issues with clients not being able to connect to the FileMaker pro files hosted on the server. Trace routes from clients outside the network are able to get to the host but the data is not coming back to the client. It seems to be related to Windows clients as I can connect remotely with the Mac version.

Has anybody run into this or have any idea what may be causing it?

Hi Steven.

Thanks for replying. Ports are open. Everything was working fine and suddenly just stopped.

My head is spinning in confusion as the client says they didn't make any changes either and all firewalls are open.

Client ran a trace and found that the client could connect going to my server, but the data got stopped coming back. My suspicion is that they changed something on their network but maybe aren't aware of it since many people are involved (client is a school district).

I'm looking for insight on where to look and will consider any suggestions with GREAT appreciation!
