Printing Record 3-3

A teacher has 23 records and wants to print the third record only. When she goes to the print menu she enters 3-3 in the Print Range box a different record prints! After sorting the records we were able to print the correct records. However, the rearranges the records and then we have to go fishing to find the one we need.

What are we doing wrong?
