Newbies stoneb Posted April 18, 2010 Newbies Posted April 18, 2010 I have a client who's server had a power outage and FileMaker 9 Server was closed improperly (Windows). I was able to successfully recover their database files so that is fine but the problem is I now can't get FileMaker Server Admin Console to open. I've tried stopping and starting the FileMaker service (which seems to work), but when I open the console nothing comes up. I've even tried uninstalling the FileMaker Server software and reinstalling but that didn't fix the problem. Any ideas?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 First, don't assume that everything is "...all right..." with recovered files. Second, from a browser enter the IP address of the server:16000 and try to download a new console. See if that works any better. HTH Steven
Newbies stoneb Posted April 18, 2010 Author Newbies Posted April 18, 2010 Thanks, I'll try that on the server. I did try exactly that from another computer on the network, but it couldn't connect.
