I have created a database and published it using IWP. I want to sell subscription access to the database, which is easy to do on my website. The problem I'm running into is getting user info from the mySQL database that runs my website into the filemaker database.

Or, filemaker says you can you an external mySQL database to authenticate users. Can it be my website database? That would be perfect, but nobody seems to be able to tell me how.

Or, filemaker says it can restrict access by IP address. Is there a way that IP address could be my website? That would also solve my problem.

Where does it say this? I'm not aware of any such capability.

There are several ways to authenticate users.
