Newbies dlundgren Posted May 1, 2010 Newbies Posted May 1, 2010 Looked around and couldn't find this question, so here goes... trying out Supercontainer looking to incorporate it into some of our client sites... testing in office with FMS10 on OS X and several Mac, Windows and Windows via Parallels machines. Everything works fine on the Macs, but on a Windows machine with XP or two virtual Windows machines via Parallels on an MBP (XP and W7), I get an "Unable to load preview for this item: Could not create directory" message when going to a layout with a Supercontainer object on it. What am I missing? Thanks, this is great on the Macs - but all our clients are 100% Windows, servers and desktops, so I need to get comfortable with this before we start evangelizing!
Smef Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Are you connecting to the same database with windows and mac clients, and the windows clients are having issues? There are two things to check here: First, make sure that your SuperContainer URL is correct and, as an example, does not have any spaces in it. Sometimes a mac will ignore the space, while the windows machine will try and deal with it, causing an error. Return characters can also cause issues. Second, please make sure that Java is up to date on your windows machines. The current version of Java 6 Update 20. Please let me know if these suggestions do not help you resolve the issue.
