I am using your plastic plugin for a database I am writing for my wife's therapy practice. Her office does not have wifi. She is using another offices unsecured router for access to the internet.

My question is when she sends out a payment for processing via your plugin what are the potential security risks? Is the information encrypted by the plugin?

Traffic from the plastic plugin is encrypted (I believe it is required by the different gateways), however, if security beyond encryption is an issue for you I would recommend using your own private and secure network rather than an open network.
