OBDC

I am trying OBDC imports. I have created a small Excel 97 workbbook with 3 fields and 3 records(rows). I have configured OBDC Excel driver with pointer to this file on my Deskto. My plug-in for local (same computer access) is checked on. When I try to import into a FMP5 database I cannot see the "table" (my Excel file) in the query screen. I access the screen thru File pen and select OBDC files. Without seeing a table I cannot create a query. Any idea where I could be going wrong. Thank you.
