Hello, I must preface this post with a warning that I am brand new to the world of filemaker.

I work for a company doing bail bonds and am trying to find a simple way to create layouts for our bond forms. The bonds are usually provided to us in word format from the city or county. I'm wondering if there is a way to import the content from the word document into a new layout and preserve the formatting so I can simply add editable fields wherever they are necessary. I poked around a bit on the forums and can't find a topic related to this. I may not be searching for the correct terminology as I'm very new to this.

Not really. The quickest way is to reproduce the forms on the layout using FMP-native text and lines. Despite what is said, it won't matter if the form is a little bit different.

Yes you can print the Word doc to pdf and paste the pdf ono the layout, then over-lay the fields etc, but it'll take about as much time as doing it using native elements, and it'll be harder to change.
