I am running Server 11 advanced and I am trying to set up a page with IWP and when I start the set up, it looks fine. Asks for the site name and then the IP to connect. I am working right on the machine and it shows the local IP in the box. But it won't connect to get the list of hosted databases. I have put in 127.0.0.1, I have put in the domain name I have even put in a forwarding port. And nothing. It says it can't connect. I checked the IWP setting in the server and it is on. I also checked that the database I want has PHP and IWP setting on and it shows that they are on in the list of databases. I am at a loss on what to do.

have you set the database, set the security, so it allow access for instant web publishing ?

File > manage > security > extended privilege(tab)

Yes apache server is running. I am thinking it is something to do with ports. My ISP blocks port 80 so I use dynamic dns stuff to forward to port 8888.

It is like when I open a database on another machine, in local clients it shows the server at the local IP but you can't select it or click on it. I had to add a favorite and use the local IP... I know it doesn't make sense but I think the port access is different.

The ability to access port 16000 from outside the local network is just fine. All my offices can connect. I just can't get past step 1 on IWP where you select the server.

Yes. Most of the databases have either PHP or IWP permissions.

I guess no one has had this problem? Even on the local machine, it doesn't work.
