Hallo everyone.

Did anybody has deeper experience with the XML-interface of FM5?

We have the impression that the implementation of Filemaker XML is not pure XML...

when requesting data that have ..."links"... to media like jpeg-images the xml-output isn't "well formed" (in XML meaning) any more because of the use of the "&" which doesn't have any adequate dtd description.

so our industry standard xml parser (apache-xerces (a former ibm alphaworks product)) refuse to accept this xml.

we did hell of a job to "pre-parse" the FM-xml to make it well-formed.

so my question: did we this ugly preparsing because we didn't recognize a special FM feature or is FM realy not 100% XML?
