Newbies Diederd Posted May 7, 2001 Newbies Share Posted May 7, 2001 Hi, I'm trying to connect 2 filemaker Pro files within Crystal Reports. The wizard in Crystal works fine with ODBC, but when the program must refresh the data it give a fault. Printing one table in Crystal works fine. Is there someone who has the same problem and maybe has a solution. Thanks , Diederd Loysch
Lee J
What version of Crystal reports are you using?, and what is the error message or number returned?
Newbies Diederd Posted May 9, 2001 Author Newbies Share Posted May 9, 2001 I'm using Crystal reports 8.0.1 (crw32 8.0.0.371) The fault I had was : ODBC error [Filemaker][ODBC filemaker Pro] extra characters at end of query:INNER Error detected in database dll Best regards , Dieder
Newbies phatcher Posted May 15, 2001 Newbies Share Posted May 15, 2001 Hey there Diederd. For the INNER query error, look at the SQL generated by Crystal. You'll most likely find a problem with a field name. If you have the choice, I wouldn't use Crystal and FMP. The FMP ODBC is painfully slow and once you get over 1000 records, you are really pushing the drivers. I tried to go this route, and I was providing a dis-service to my users.
