ODBC/SQL-plugin exportRows pathname?

I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong, but it appears that when i do

SQL-exportRows, "myExp.tab"

the file myExp.tab gets put into the wrong folder seemingly at random. The plugin documentation says that the file should be placed in the filemaker folder. i assume this is the folder that holds the table that executes the SQL query. This works most of the time, but sometimes myExp.tab gets put in the folder of another table running at the same time. The only way i have around this is to close the table and open it again. I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem, and if there was an easy way to overcome it.
