I thought this should be fairly easy, but I can't seem to find the answer.

I started one database file with many different fields. Then I obtained a .csv file with which I opened in a second FM file. The .csv file had about 96 fields.

I am trying to get the FIELDS from the .CSV file into my original database. I am not concerned about the content (data) in the .CSV file. But I am just trying to get the 96 fields into my original table.

Can this be done, or do I need to make each new field manually?

Well, I kind of figured one thing out:

You go to Manage Databases,

click on the "Fields" tab,

and then select all the fields you want to put into your other database.

Click copy.

Go to the database file you want the copied fields to be pasted to.

Again go to the Manage Databases ---> Fields tab.

Click Paste.

It did something funky like not copying all the fields the first time for me. But when I tried it again it worked, so I don't know what I did wrong the first time.

Anyway, hope that helps.
