:)?:?? What kind of database and what's your site called? You should see the URL at the top of the browser............. VERY vague.

Find somebody who is using the file, choose Open Remote in FMP on their machine and see what the host ip address and filename is.

So sorry you guys, this is like my 3rd post in a different forum and I never get answers to the complete question I post so I put out a summary just to see if I'd actually get a response. My full scenario is detailed below. THANKS YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!

Disclaimer: I'm definitely a noob! A company I work for has brought me in to create a new backend for their website. This backend will involve users logging in and making a log of tasks they've completed, prices they've charged, ect. Obviously this database will need to be uploaded using the Instant Publishing feature in Filemaker Pro Advanced, how ever my problem lies in getting the date out of the current database they have online into FPA so I can create the new database with that information. Of course it's preferable to use the HTTP request feature in the Import Records->XML Data source menu but I don't know what to put there and how to get that specific address containing all of the current database's data. Any help? IN SHORT I DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO THE DATABASE SO I WANT TO SEE IF THERE'S ANY WAY TO PULL IT OFF OF THE CLIENT'S SITE WITHOUT HAVING TO GET THE MICROSOFT SQL DATABASE FROM THEIR PREVIOUS WEB MASTER. I WANT TO USE THE HTTP REQUEST FUNCTION BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO LOCATE THE DATABASE ADDRESS ON THE SITE. Thanks for your help.
